I have several years experience of writing and shaping planning policy, this has ranged from neighbourhood to local plan policy. This has included experience of researching areas such as environmental, economic and social policy and the effects on statutory development planning.

Policy is only as good as the research and evidence that is used to develop and draft it. Some ares of policy, both planning and corporate, requires a sound evidence base, this why a good analytical framework is needed to ensure the robustness of any policies produced. In conjunction with clients I can assist the development of policy for organisations, communities and businesses. My experience of working with community groups and local people provides a good background to developing well written locally relevant policies.

I have experience in applying for funding in relation to research and also small scale project work for community groups and in the public sector.
