PhD summary - My PhD focused on sub-national (city-regional) governance in England, it applied theoretical organisational management theory to the contemporary governance structures found in two city regions within the context of low carbon building development.

Article 4 Directions

Over the years one of my main specialist areas has become Article 4 Directions for Local Authorities, consultation exercises and research for policy development. 

• Small rural Council that went to Local Plan policy

• Metropolitan borough Council result was to expand Licensing

• Rural Council - Immediate Article 4

• Metropolitan borough - Non-Immediate Article 4
